Prof. & Dr. Hartmut Hinz, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Germany

Prof. Hartmut Hinz received the diploma degree in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Aachen and the Ruhr University, Bochum in Germany in the years 1990 and 1994 respectively. He received the Dr. degree from the Technical University, Darmstadt in Germany in 2000. From 1999 to 2009, he was with General Motors fuel cell activities. As project leader, he was responsible for the development of high-voltage systems of fuel cell hybrid vehicles (GMT800, Hy-wire, Sequel, Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell). In 2009 he was appointed as a Professor for power electronics at the University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt in Germany. He is the head of the graduate program Electrical Engineering – Renewable Energy in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. From 2010 to 2016, he was a visiting professor at the Vietnamese-German University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In recent years, he has been active as a conference chair, program chair, and reviewer at international conferences. He is a member of the MDPI energies reviewer board. His research interests are in the areas power electronics for electric vehicles and renewable energy; electrical energy storage and distributed power generation.


Prof. & Dr. Maode Ma, Qatar University, Qatar

Prof. Maode Ma, a Fellow of IET, received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1999. Now, Prof. Ma is a Research Professor in the College of Engineering at Qatar University in Qatar. He has extensive research interests including network security and wireless networking. He has over 500 international academic publications including over 250 journal papers and about 250 conference papers. His publication has received more than 10,500 citations in Google Scholar. Prof. Ma currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computer and Communication Engineering and the Journal of Communications. He also serves as a Senior Editor for IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, and an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing and the International Journal of Communication Systems. Prof. Ma is a senior member of the IEEE Communication Society and a member of ACM. He is now the Chair of the ACM, Singapore Chapter. Prof. Ma has been a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Communication Society from 2013 to 2016 and from 2023 to 2024.


Prof. & Dr. Jeyraj Selvaraj (MIEEE), Universiti Malaya, Malaysia

Prof. Jeyraj Selvaraj received the B.Eng. (Hons.) degree from Multimedia University, Malaysia, in 2002, the M.Sc. degree in Power Electronics and Drives jointly from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K., and the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K., in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2009.
He is currently a Professor and Executive Director of UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Universiti Malaya. He has involved in the field of Solar Energy for more than 15 years. He has done more than 75 onsite inverter tests under the FiT, LSS and NEM scheme in Malaysia. He is also a member of IEEE, IEM and a member of working group committee on Photovoltaic Standards of Department of Standards Malaysia. He is one of the recipients of NAM Research Training Fellowship for Young Scientist and Royal Academy Engineering UK’s Leaders in Innovation Fellowship in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
In 2019 he was awarded the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme Fellowship followed by Asian Universities Alliance Scholarship in 2020. He has been awarded Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) by Academy of Science Malaysia 2024. He has around 150 publication both in ISI and Scopus. Dr Jeyraj is actively involved in research as a Principal Investigator with a total amount of research grants more than RM3million. His outstanding research had been recognized by Stanford University as the Top 2% of scientists in the world in 2021 to 2023. He is also a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.


Prof. & Dr. Muhyiddine Jradi, University of Southern Denmark, Denmark

Prof. Muhyiddine Jradi, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Energy Engineering and the leader of the Building Energy Modelling and Simulation Group at the Center of Energy Informatics at the University of Southern Denmark. He has a mechanical engineering background and received his PhD degree in Sustainable Building and Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham, in 2014. Dr Jradi’s main research interests include energy efficient systems, building energy modelling and simulation, energy renovation, multi-generation systems, energy systems numerical modelling and simulation, renewable energy and energy storage. Dr Jradi is currently leading and taking part in multiple international research projects in collaboration with industrial partners and public parities with funding exceeding 6 million USD. In addition, he is serving as a member of multiple journal editorial boards and international conferences’ scientific committees. He has received multiple awards including the Dean of Engineering Research Scholarship for International Excellence from the University of Nottingham and the Sakkal Renewable Energy Award from the American University of Beirut. Dr Jradi research work has led to more than 150 academic publications in leading journals and international conferences.

Prof. Shunli Wang is a Doctoral Supervisor, Academic Dean of Electric Power College in Inner Mongolia University of Technology, Executive Vice President of Smart Energy Storage Institute, Haina Distinguished Professor at Sichuan University, Deputy General Manager of Daqingshan Laboratory in Inner Mongolia Electric Power Group, RSA Fellow, IET Fellow, IEEE Senior Member, PCIM Asia Committee Member, IEEE PES Committee Member, Academic Leader of National Electrical Safety and Quality Testing Center, Tianfu Qingcheng Scientific and Technological Talent, High-level Overseas Talent, Tianfu A Talents, Academic & Technical Leader of Chinese Science and Technology City, and Top 2% Worldwide Scientist. Focusing on the major national strategic needs of new energy and energy storage systems, the research of green and low-carbon energy storage is conducted in smart grids, undertaken 56 projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and National Key Research & Development, with a Research Interest Score value of 14995, and 258 articles published on SCI-indexed famous journals with 52 articles in the First Area / TOP journals in Chinese Academy of Sciences, 42 high-cited / hot ones, 67 authorized Intellectual property rights such as international and domestic invention patents, software Copyrights and standard formulation and 9 books have been published by first-class international and domestic publishing houses. 9 awards at or above the provincial or ministerial level have been achieved, including 3 international gold medals. 17 chairmanships of international conferences have been participated in, with 5 editorial boards of international periodicals. The core technical achievements have reached an international advanced level and have been reported by the People's Daily.


Prof. & Dr. Atif Iqbal (Fellow IEEE), Qatar University, Qatar

Prof. Atif Iqbal (Fellow IEEE (USA), Fellow IET (UK), Fellow IE (India), Fellow AIAA (Asia Pacific), Fellow AAIA) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India, in 1991 and 1996, respectively, and Ph.D. degree from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, U.K., in 2006. He received D.Sc. degree (Habilitation) in control, informatics, and electrical engineering from the Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland in 2019. He is a Full Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Qatar University, Doha, Qatar, and a former Full Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, AMU, Aligarh, India. Prof. Iqbal is Honorary Adjunct Professor at M.A. American University, Nigeria, and Bharath University, India, He is also Adjunct Faculty at the Community College, Doha, Qatar. Prof. Iqbal has been listed in top 2% highly cited scientists of the world (Stanford University, USA) since 2019. He has published widely in international journals and conferences on his research findings related to power electronics, variable speed drives, e-mobility, smart grid, complex energy transition, micro and nano grids and renewable energy sources. He has authored or coauthored more than 600 research articles, 8 patents, and four books and several chapters in edited books. He has supervised several large research and development projects worth several million USD. He has supervised 21 PhD He was also a recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Merit Award for year 2014–2015 and the Research Excellence Awards at Qatar University, in 2015, and 2022. He has received Research Excellence Award from the College of Engineering, Qatar University in 2019. He has received several best research papers awards in top International Conferences. He is serving as the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Qatar Section. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics and Editorial Board Member IEEE ACCESS.
